Can you hear me? How I wish they could hear me Everyday I enter a classroom to teach, I'm anxious.I have been in the field for fourteen years but I still have not gotten used to the idea that my students are learning English for additional purposes.I will love to have a straight conversation with a group of learners without them rushing to their bilingual dictionaries now and then,or me having to translate one or two of my sentences to make some sense. How does it look like to talk to learners who hear every bit of what you say?That could be very lovely.In that case,they might probably be in class just to perfect their grammar and add to their already rich vocabulary,and learn more idioms and proverbs to get seated in the language. It is challenging for EFL teachers to struggle their point through at the end of day especially in countries like mine where children have many languages to learn during their secondary school(Latin, French,English,German and Spanish).
